The science
Your body burns carbohydrate to provide the ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) energy
that powers the muscles to perform. Complex carbohydrate energy is stored as
glycogen, with 75% in the muscles and the remaining 25% in the liver. Low muscle
glycogen levels impair and reduce overall performance, making regular
replenishment of energy levels essential to maximise performance.
Balance Elite Fuel Supply Squeezepacks are
best taken with 300-400mL of water per serve. Your body requires 1g of
carbohydrate per kg of body weight per hour and for ultimate performance, always
maintain your fluid intake.
Your Personal Fluid Replacement Program: For each kg of bodyweight lost during
exercise, you need 1 litre of fluid to replace it.

Directions:
For Intense or Prolonged Exercise:
· Before Exercise: Consume the contents
of one squeezepack with 300–400mL of water, 10 to 15 minutes before competition,
during your warm-up.
· During Exercise: Consume one
squeezepack with 300-400mL of water every 20-30 minutes. Water intake is
essential to help prevent dehydration.
· After Exercise: Consume one or two
squeezepacks with the correct amount of water to replace lost carbohydrate, this
is a great window of opportunity to assist recovery.
Always
consume 300-400mL of fluid per squeezepack. When used during exercise, the food
should be consumed in accordance with directions, to avoid the possibility of
gastrointestinal upset. Must be consumed with an appropriate fluid intake.
